Blue Ridge Mountain Host Website Wins MarCom Award
CC Communications Recognized for Exceeding High Web Design Standards

CHARLOTTE, NC. - November 18, 2010 - Charlotte Web design firm CC Communications, Inc. has earned a Gold Award in the 2010 international MarCom Awards competition. The Award recognizes NCBlueRidge.com, a website design project recently completed for tourism coalition Blue Ridge Mountain Host and supported by grant funds from AdvantageWest Economic Development Group.

The Gold Award is presented only to those entries judged to exceed the high standards of the Web Design industry. NCBlueRidge.com was selected to receive the Gold Award from a pool of almost 5,000 entries submitted by organizations throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), an international organization consisting of several thousand creative professionals, oversees standards, judging and recognition programs for the MarCom Awards. CC Communications is a six-time award winner in the MarCom Awards competition.

Blue Ridge Mountain Host is one of the chief marketing organizations for the Western North Carolina region, promoting the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains to thousands of potential visitors each year. One hundred eighty (180) members from across Buncombe, Burke, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania and Yancey counties participate in the organization’s cooperative marketing programs. Design and development teams at CC Communications collaborated closely with Blue Ridge Mountain Host executive management during production of the new website. NCBlueRidge.com serves as a free, comprehensive travel guide to the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains by providing information about vacations, activities, outdoor recreation, dining, hotels and much more. The new website was also recently featured in the Web @ Work section of Greater Charlotte Biz magazine.
